After reading David Allen's "Getting Things Done". I realized I had a hard time just having my todo sheet on me at all times. I have a smart phone, but typing on it and adding quick notes was less than convienent.
So I devised a plan. I was gonna take something that I have with me at all times and add a small notepad to it. My wallet was the perfect candidate, its always with me!
I used gaffers tape so it would be black like a wallet, but regular duct tape would do. I ended up throwing away my old wallet and just making pockets and folders around a small 50 cent 4x3 notebook.
I also made a holder for a small pencil.
This wallet ended up being 1/4 the thickness of my old receipt stuffed Kenneth Cole, I had been sporting for 8plus years.
And the best part about it is the notebook. Numbers, addresses, project ideas and grocery lists all make it into its pages.
Tasks get written down and crossed off quickly.

Rebecca Black "Friday"
The surprising new pop-viral sensation, Rebecca Black with her new hit single "Friday", was dropped a few weeks ago. What seems like a preteen's weekend project, has started to hit the club scene in droves.
Voted the Most Popular Hated Artist of 2011, Rebecca Black has made a fortune off her trite immature lyrics and auto-tuned vocals.
This song would be nothing without the video to go along with it, which is sprinkled with cameos of her awkward school friends.
Check out the video if you haven't already, and check out the many response videos that have popped up as well.

TORRENTS... clients & trackers
The smallest (speedy-est?) torrent client around. uTorrent is available for Windows AND Mac, and works well on both OS. µTorrent will work on Windows 2000 and up, including Windows 7. The Mac version supports OS X 10.5 and up.
www.utorrent.com
Another small torrent client, which is open source and has started developing its own hardware to improve the speed of seeding and leeching torrents. Available for Windows, Mac AND Linux!! Horray Open Source!

THE PIRATE BAY!
The Pirate Bay is the worlds largest bittorrent tracker. Bittorrent is a filesharing protocol that in a reliable way enables big and fast file transfers.
This is an open tracker, where anyone can download torrent files. To be able to upload torrent files, write comments and personal messages one must register at the site. This is of course free.

Important Terms to Know
(master your piracy techniques)
availability
The number of existing full copies of the file available to the client for downloading. The higher this number is, the potentially easier and quicker it can be to download the complete file (not accounting for other factors). If this number is less than one (for example, 0.65) then there is not a full copy of the file available to download.
block
A block is a piece of a file. When a file is distributed, it is broken into smaller pieces, or blocks. Typically the block is 250kb in size, but it can vary with the size of the file being distributed. Breaking the file into pieces allows it to be distributed as efficiently as possible. Users get their files faster using less bandwidth.
client
the BitTorrent software used to download and upload files.
leech or leecher
usually refers to a peer that is downloading while uploading very little, or nothing at all. Sometimes this is unintentional and due to firewall issues. The term leech is also sometimes used to simply refer to a peer that is not seeding yet.
peer
one of a group of clients downloading the same file.
re-seed
Re-seeding is the act of putting up a new complete copy of a file after no more seeds are available to download from. This is done to allow clients with only partial downloads to complete the download process and increases availability.
scrape
This is when a client sends a request to the tracker for information about the statistics of the torrent, like who to share the file with and how well those other users are sharing.
seed
a complete copy of the file being made available for download.
seeder/seeding
a peer that is done downloading a file and is now just making it available to others.
swarm
a group of seeds and peers sharing the same torrent.
torrent
generally, the instance of a file or group of files being distributed
torrent file
a file which describes what file or files are being distributed, where to find parts, and other info needed for the distribution of the file.
tracker
a server that keeps track of the peers and seeds in a swarm. A tracker does not have a copy of the file itself, but it helps manage the file transfer process.
Linux Ubuntu 10.10 Features
Everyone loves their Mac. Hipsters slap a $40 sticker on a $3,500 Macbook Pro and happily sip a Pumpkin Spice Latte while browsing the net. Artsy professionals who just bought their first Apple laptop swear by its "versatility" and its "interface". LOL
On a train ride to Manhattan I see business men editing Exel sheets on their Ipads as well as Ipads in the sticky hands of six year olds who are also enjoying the easy to use interface.
But....
...the majority of us don't have the extra cash to splurge on a fancy sleek machine with the bitten apple logo. An most of us can't stand the corrupted driver, virus ridden Windows Operating system. So what do we do?
Try Ubuntu!
It's an Operating System like Windows or Mac, but is free, different, and fun. Its coding isn't binary so, (like a Mac), you don't have to worry about viruses, trojans, and malware.
You can run those Windows applications on it using Wine, but it includes all the open source free software you can handle.
